How We Could Save the World From Global Warming Before Our Time Is Up

According to the AP and Gizmodo, the future for the worlds' climate isn't looking so bright. Through the use of UNEP - the entity charged with devising protocols for nations "their plan calls for 16 measures targeting both short- and long-term climate forcers that, if universally enacted, could save up to 2.5 million, 32 million tons of crops, and reduce the rate of global warming by half a degree C by 2040." Essentially as a world we are to far down the road to climate disaster to completely reverse our effects on the environment and as such the best we can hope for is to mitigate and eventually end our destructive habits.
